If a family member, friend or citizen suffers cardiac arrest, call 911 and start CPR immediately.  If you have not been trained a dispatcher may be able to help you.  A person in cardiac arrest has a higher chance of survival if there is an Automated External Defibrilator (AED) at the location, and their situation requires it to be used.  There are several locations in Anderson County that have an AED.  AED's are often found in schools, public buildings, churches and industrial companies.  Usually the AED is registered with the emergency medical services that serves their location.  Anderson County EMS has 72 AED's registered in Anderson County.
